Kettlebell Training
If you think you have trained hard in the past, then you ain't see nothing yet!
Although relatively new to the modern gym, kettlebell training has been around for 100's of years. If you have never seen a kettlebell before, think of a slightly bigger shot put ball with a handle, and you've pretty much got it! With the handle of the kettlebell located outside the mass of the bell, it provides the body with a much more challenging workout than traditional dumb bells or plate weights. With the uneven distribution of weight through the kettlebell, it is up to the individual to create, absorb and develop each movement, encouraging the individual to train the body as a whole unit.
Kettlebell training focuses on functional training by strengthing through the posterior chain. The posterior chain includes, but is not limited to, the hamstrings, the buttocks, lower back and core muscles. This helps the body to not only shape and tone the muscle, but get the heart pumping and core stabilizers, (abdominal and lower back muscles), working continuously. Kettlebell training provides you with a fast-paced, low-impact workout with fantastic results to help you reap the rewards of all your hard work.
Those who train with kettlebells on a regular basis can report improvements in balance, strength, co-ordination and core stability.
